Command Code launched a desktop app in beta on September 16, 2026, available the same day for Mac, Linux, and Windows. CEO Ahmad Awais described it as the start of "the most powerful agentic app," built around coding: it handles multiple agents at once, alongside files, Git, a terminal, browser previews, and plans, plus instant edits through a `/design` command. The app itself adds a responsive sidebar, a redesigned composer, a conversation feed, and a side panel with tabs for Changes, Files, Terminal, Browser, Plan, and Output, along with expandable inline diffs for reviewing changed files and MCP server management in settings.
Why it matters
This is Command Code's first real push beyond its CLI into a full desktop app, and it's available cross-platform from day one. It's still beta, so expect rough edges, but worth trying if you want a GUI for running multiple coding agents at once instead of a terminal-only workflow.
