Orbits raises $2M from a16z Speedrun to build Bit, a household AI assistant

Orbits announced on September 16, 2026 that it closed nearly $2 million in pre-seed funding from Andreessen Horowitz's Speedrun fund, alongside other investors. The money backs Bit, its AI assistant for iOS and Android that handles family scheduling and everyday household errands: booking dinner reservations, rescheduling appointments, and collecting quotes from service providers like plumbers or roofers. Bit can browse websites and log into your authorized accounts to get these tasks done.

Why it matters

This is the same lane as Fambot and Instinct: an agent aimed at household logistics rather than work tasks. Worth a look if you're comparing family-assistant apps, but it's a pre-seed-stage product, so expect rough edges.
