Grok Bot opens to cheaper plans, adds a free trial

Your move: Ten days after launch, it got a lot more affordable

On August 21, 2026, xAI opened up Grok Bot access beyond the original expensive tiers (SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Teams Premium) to also include SuperGrok Plus and Cursor Pro+ subscribers. It also added a free trial with limited usage for everyone, on Mac, iOS, Windows, and Linux.

Why it matters

If you skipped Grok Bot at launch because of the price, this lowers the bar a lot. You can now try it free or get it on a much cheaper plan than before.
