xAI ships Grok Bot, a $120-$300/mo always-on AI coworker
Your move: One persistent cloud computer per user, now in beta
xAI launched Grok Bot in beta on August 11, 2026. Each Grok Bot user gets one persistent cloud computer, shared by every Bot that user runs, complete with its own browser, files, and terminal, so it keeps working even after you close your laptop. It signs into your other tools using its own login. You need a paid plan to use it: SuperGrok Heavy ($300/month), Cursor Ultra ($200/month), or Cursor Teams Premium ($120/seat/month). Since launch, xAI has kept adding features like shared templates and easier account switching.
Why it matters
Grok Bot isn't included in the regular Grok plan, so you need the right paid tier before you can use it at all. New features are still landing weekly, so it's worth checking in on what's changed before you commit to a plan.
