Grok Bot can now read and post on X

Your move: First version, with more planned

On August 29, 2026, xAI connected Grok Bot directly to X. Linking your X account gives the bot the ability to search posts, read timelines, check mentions, and summarize activity. Paid Grok Bot users also get free starter X API credits. xAI calls this a first version with more capability planned.

Why it matters

This is a useful but incremental add-on if you use Grok Bot for research or monitoring tasks tied to X. Worth knowing about, not urgent to act on.
