OpenClaw plugin SDK marks an old credential-prompt style as deprecated
Your move: Old plugins keep working through November 30, 2026
On September 9, 2026, OpenClaw marked an old way of calling `buildCredentialSafetyPrompt` in its plugin SDK as deprecated. That function builds the message a plugin shows when it needs to ask for a login. The old style passed it a plain block of text; the new style passes it a settings object instead. The old style still works today and isn't being removed yet.
Why it matters
This only affects people who write or maintain OpenClaw plugins that ask users to log in. The old format keeps working through November 30, 2026, so nothing breaks right away, but plugin authors should switch to the new settings-object style before it's eligible for removal on December 1, 2026.
