Perplexity Computer now comes pre-installed on an HP laptop

Your move: Starts with the HP ZBook Ultra G3a, more HP PCs to follow

On September 15, 2026, Perplexity announced that HP will pre-install its Windows app, including Perplexity Computer, on select HP PCs. The rollout starts with the HP ZBook Ultra G3a mobile workstation, with the app placed directly in the Windows taskbar. Perplexity says Computer now connects to more than 400 other apps and data sources, including Snowflake, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Autodesk tools. More HP Windows devices are expected to get the app in the coming months.

Why it matters

If you buy a new HP ZBook Ultra G3a, you'll get Perplexity Computer built in without installing anything. For everyone else, this is mainly a distribution deal worth watching rather than a new feature: it puts Computer in front of new Windows buyers by default, the same way Microsoft bundles Copilot, instead of changing what the tool can do for people who already use it.
