xAI showed off a new batch of Grok Bot features on September 23, 2026, in a walkthrough video from team member Matt Palmer that Elon Musk shared. Grok Bot can now place voice calls and record voice memos on a user's behalf. It can fill out forms and draft email or Slack replies without leaving the chat, switch between a user's accounts, and route its web browsing through the user's own desktop instead of a remote server.

Why it matters

None of this needs any setup to keep using Grok Bot as before. If you want it to handle more real-world tasks, like calling a business or drafting a reply, these features let it act more like an assistant than a chatbot, at no extra cost.
