Hermes Agent ships a maintenance patch bundling thousands of small fixes

Your move: Run `hermes update` to get it; the real new features land in v0.22.0

Nous Research released Hermes Agent v0.21.1 on September 7, 2026. It's a patch release that rolls up over 5,000 code changes made since v0.21.0, including faster file handling and startup, updated AI model providers, better desktop session controls and browser annotations, fixes to scheduled task delivery, and more reliable hand-offs between sub-agents. Nous Research says this release is mostly maintenance and that a full write-up of new features will come with v0.22.0. You can get it by running `hermes update`.

Why it matters
