On September 3, 2026, Nous Research added one-click local model setup to Hermes Desktop. It reads your hardware, picks the best model your machine can run, then downloads and configures it for you.

Why it matters

If you've held off running Hermes Agent locally because picking and configuring the right model felt like a chore, this removes that step entirely.
