OpenClaw agents can now make bounded payments through AWS

Your move: For paywalled APIs, MCP servers, and web content

AWS's AgentCore Payments went generally available on August 18, 2026. On September 3, OpenClaw added support for it, so OpenClaw agents can now use AWS's aws-agents-pay plugin to make bounded, human-approved payments for paywalled APIs, MCP servers, and other paid web content.

Why it matters

If your OpenClaw agent regularly hits paywalls or paid APIs while working, this gives it a supervised way to pay for access itself instead of you stepping in each time. It still requires your approval for each payment, so it's not something to enable and forget.
