OpenAI brings Dot agents to iMessage and RCS

Your move: Rolling out in beta to ChatGPT Pro users in the US.

US ChatGPT Pro users can now text their Dot over iMessage on iPhone or RCS on Android, with support for text, photos and voice messages. The Dot can also text first when a task needs attention; approvals still happen through a link back into ChatGPT.

Why it matters

The agent moves from an app you open to a thread in your inbox. The catch: it is a US-only Pro preview, and OpenAI cautions against sending sensitive information over text.
