Muse can now check out with Shop Pay on any Shopify store

Your move: Merchants keep their usual payment processing, no extra fee

Shopify said on September 21, 2026, that Meta's Muse can now complete purchases using Shop Pay, Shopify's one-tap checkout, on any store that runs on Shopify. Before this, Muse could browse and find products on Shopify stores but had no built-in way to pay. Now a Muse purchase goes through Shopify's product catalog, Shop Pay, and checkout in one flow, and merchants keep acting as the seller of record with their usual payment processing fees.

Why it matters

This is the difference between Muse pointing you to something to buy and actually buying it for you. If you shop on Shopify-powered stores, expect Muse to finish the purchase itself rather than stopping at "here's what I found." Amazon has taken the opposite approach and blocked Muse from its site, so this only helps on Shopify stores.
