PayPal becomes a checkout option inside Muse

Your move: Works at any merchant that already accepts PayPal, US users only for now

PayPal announced on September 22, 2026, that its customers can now search for products and pay using Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, at any merchant worldwide that already accepts PayPal. The deal follows the Shop Pay integration with Shopify announced the day before, giving Muse a second major payment option for actually completing a purchase, not just finding one. Muse itself currently only works for users in the United States.

Why it matters

Between this and the Shop Pay deal, Muse is quickly picking up ways to pay for things on your behalf across a large slice of online stores. If you already check out with PayPal, that's one less thing standing between Muse finding a product and actually buying it for you.
