Instinct's rapid booking attempts get a user banned from Resy
Your move: Resy says it doesn't allow outside bots on its platform
CNN reported that Instinct, a personal AI assistant, pinged the reservation site Resy hundreds of times an hour while trying to book a hard-to-get table for a New York user. Resy's system flagged this as bot abuse and banned the user's account. Resy said it does not allow outside bots or agents to access its platform without approval. The user got his account back afterward, but said he won't try that again.
Why it matters
If you connect Instinct to a booking site like Resy, it could get your account banned for looking like automated abuse, even if you didn't personally do anything wrong. Until Instinct and sites like Resy agree on an approved way to talk to each other, be careful about asking it to chase hard-to-get reservations.
