Meta expands Muse into an AI agent for small businesses

Your move: Free with usage limits, a paid subscription unlocks more

Meta announced on September 29, 2026 that Muse is expanding beyond personal use to small businesses. The new version connects to the tools many small business owners already use, including Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Notion, Slack, Zoom, Asana, Box, Canva, Figma, and more, plus a business's Instagram, Facebook Page, and ad account data. Meta says the goal is an agent that understands a business's whole operation, not just a stand-alone chatbot, so it can help owners run day to day tasks and find new customers. Muse for Small Business is free with usage limits, with a paid subscription for businesses that need more.

Why it matters

This puts Meta's agent up against tools built specifically for small business owners, by tying together the software many of them already run their business on. If you run a small business and already use several of the connected tools, this is worth a look, but check what data and permissions you are handing over across all those accounts before connecting them.
