Instinct partners with 1Password to hand off your saved credentials

Your move: A response to last month's privacy concerns, but the integration hasn't shipped yet

On September 4, 2026, Instinct announced a partnership with 1Password to let the agent get your account logins through 1Password's vault instead of only through Instinct's own built-in Vault. Instinct CEO Noah Shinn said 32% of Instinct users already share credentials through that in-house Vault, letting the agent log into loyalty programs, streaming and software accounts, restaurant and fitness bookings, healthcare portals, and payroll and benefits sites. The integration is still being built and rolled out, it is not live yet.

Why it matters

This is Instinct's answer to the privacy concerns covered here last month, when it kept reading a user's Gmail after being disconnected. Routing credentials through 1Password instead of Instinct's own storage could reduce how much sensitive data Instinct holds directly, but since the integration isn't live yet, there's nothing to change in your setup until it ships.
