Instinct gives every assistant its own email address

Your move: A first step toward letting Instinct create and run its own accounts

On September 8, 2026, Instinct founder Noah Shinn announced that every Instinct assistant now gets its own dedicated email address, claimable at mail.instinct.com. Early users get first pick of a preferred handle. Shinn said this is the first step toward letting Instinct own and run its own accounts: since most everyday tasks, like creating accounts, confirming bookings, or contacting a business, run through email, a separate agent inbox lets Instinct send and receive that mail without cluttering your personal one.

Why it matters

This lands just days after Instinct's 1Password integration and a wave of privacy concerns about how much access the assistant already has. An email address it controls on its own means Instinct can sign up for things and correspond with businesses without you seeing every step. If you use Instinct, keep an eye on what shows up in that new inbox.
