OpenAI's @ChatGPT assistant is available in Slack and Microsoft Teams

Your move: Workspace admins can set it up from the OpenAI admin console.

OpenAI's admin documentation, confirmed live on October 30, lets ChatGPT Business, Edu and Enterprise workspaces add an @ChatGPT assistant to Slack and Microsoft Teams. The assistant gets its own service account and admin-configured company connections, with usage billed through workspace credits.

Why it matters

ChatGPT moves from a destination app into the tools where teams already talk. The catch: it does not inherit each person's app access, so some requests still need individual authorization.
